ORDER;

            In the Government Order first read above, sanction was accorded for the employment of one unit of special staff for land acquisition work for the Irukkangudi Reservoir Scheme.

            2. In the Government Order second read above, the Government have sanctioned for the employment of additional one unit of special staff for attending the work in connection with the acquisition of lands for Irukkangudi  Reservoir Project in Virudhunagar District.  In the Government Order third read above the special staff sanctioned were allowed to continue for a further period from 1.8.99 to 31.7.2000. 

            3. The Commissioner of Land Acquisition has now requested for continuance of the special staff sanctioned in the Government Order second read above for a further period of one year from 1.8.2000  to 31.7.2001 in order to complete the pending items of work pertaining to the Irukkangudi Reservoir Project. 

            4. The Government after careful consideration direct that the special staff  mentioned in the annexure to this order, sanctioned in the Government Order second read above, be continued for a further period of one year from 1.8.2000 to 31.7.2001 to look after the land acquisition work of the Irukkangudi Reservoir Project subject to the following condition: 

1. (i)          The pending Land Acquisition work should be completed  as    per the
     time schedule prescribed in Government OrderMs.No.1309  Revenue
     dt.26.9.96 read with Government Order (Ms.) No.1895 Revenue dt. 27.8.90. 
2. (ii)           No further continuance would be accorded after 31.7.2001 at any
      cost and all the Land Acquisition works should be completed
       with in the stipulated time.

5. The Commissioner of Land Administration/District Collector, Virudhunagar District is requested to  instruct the Land Acquisition Officer to complete the pending Land Acquisition work as per the conditions set out in para 4  above. 

            6. The incumbents of the post sanctioned in para 4 above are eligible to draw pay and other allowances under the orders in force. 

7. The expenditure is debitable to the following head of account:

"8782 00 Cash remittances and adjustments between  officers

rendering accounts to the same Accounts Officer 102 Public

Works Remittance-III Other Remittance-Charges debitable

 to Executive Engineer, Public Works Department, Irukkangudi

 Reservoir Project Division, Virudhunagar and finally charged

 to 4701 Capital Outlay on Major and Medium Irrigation 03.

 Medium Irrigation Commercial 261 Irukkangudi Reservoir Scheme

 at Sattur Taluk of Virudhunagar District - JC - Canals 64 Lands"

 (D.P.C.No.4701  03 261 JC 6402). 

8. The action of the District Revenue Officer, Virudhunagar District in having continued the staff beyond 31.7.2000 in anticipation of the approval of the Government, is ratified. 

            9. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.1307/JS(LSR)/2000-1     dt. 14.12.2000.
