ORDER:

The World Bank in its Meeting held on 20.6.95 has approved a credit of SDR 181.9 millions for the Tamil Nadu Water Resources Consolidation Project.

2.In the Government Order first read above, orders were issued according

administrative sanction for implementation of Tamil Nadu Water Resources Consolidation Project at a base cost of Rs. 807.49 crores comprising of various components.

3. The  Empowered Committee on Water Resources Consolidation Project reconstituted in the Government Order second read above in its  meeting held on has approved the proposal for undertaking pilot study on SAGO Industry for Rs 19.02 lakhs after restricting the Video and photographic charges to Rs 0.02 lakh documentation charges to Rs 0.10 lakh and deleting the Labour Welfare Fund which is not applicable for Research work.  The work may be entrusted to the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.

4.The details of the work are as follows:

The Government after careful consideration have decided to accept the recommendation of the Empowered Committee  Accordingly, sanction is accorded to incur an expenditure of Rs 19.02 lakhs(Rupees Nineteen lakhs and two thousand only) for the proposal for undertaking  pilot study on SAGO Industry.  The Government direct that this Pilot Study as SAGO Industry shall be entrusted in the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.

6. The Chief Engineer  is requested to ensure that the excess expenditure over and above the SAR Provisions is met from the savings within overall allocation under Water Resources Consolidation Project.

7. The amount sanctioned in para 5 above shall be debited to the head of account;

4701-Capital Outlay on Major and Medium Irrigation –03-Medium Irrigation-Commercial-271 Modernisation and Rehabilitation of Dam and Canal of Parambikulam Aliyar Project system under Water Resources Organisation  Project –stage I-Scheme in Nineth Five Year Plan II-State Plan-PA-Parambikulam Aliyar Project System 16-Major works (DPC 4701 03 PA 1600)

8. The Chief Engineer (Water Resources Organisation) Pollachi Region is directed to implement the work as per schedule without time over run and cost over run and he is also requested to ensure that the work is completed without stipulated time.

9. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.1188/JS(LSR)/2000-1 dated:28.8.2000
