ORDER
In the G.O. first read above, Government have issued orders to establish
a Water Resources Organisation in Public Works Department with effect from
1.4.94 to specialise in Water Resources Management.
For implementing the above proposal, the following orders are issued:-
(i)
Consequent on the creation of Water Resources Organisation in Public
Works Department the existing Building wings of Public Works Department shall
function as a separate organisation in the Public Works Department.
(ii)
The inter-seniority of the officers and staff of Public Works Department
now in position shall continue to remain the same without being disturbed in
anyway;
(iii) The amalgamation of all Building
activities of the Government Department/Government of Tamil Nadu Undertakings,
Boards, Corporation, etc., ordered in the G.O. (2) to (4) read above will be
implemented concurrently.
(iv) It
will be ensured that inter-organisation transfers are avoided in order to
achieve functional specialisation. However, such transfers will be allowed to
the extent necessary to accommodate promotion or to deal with extra-ordinary
administrative contingency;
(v)
Placement preference will now be sought for from the Employees which will
have to be confirmed by the Employees at the end of 5th year.
3. This order shall come into force with effect from 1.4.94.
4. The Chief Engineer (General and Irrigation) and Chief Engineer
(Buildings) are requested to send specific proposals to Government for
implementing the above orders.
