Holidays – Public Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 for the year 2007 - Notified.

The following notification will be published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette.

NOTIFICATION

Under the explanation to Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (Central Act XXVI of 1881) read with the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Notification No.20-25/26/Public-I, dated the 8^th June 1957, the Government of Tamil Nadu, hereby, declare that in addition to       Sundays  expressly  defined  as  Public  Holidays  in  the  said Explanation", the following days shall be observed as Public Holidays in Tamil Nadu during the year 2007:-

Though certain festivals/occasions fall on Saturdays and Sundays they have been indicated in the above list for easy reference.
