Holidays - General Holidays for the State Government Offices for the year 2006 - Orders - Issued.


ORDER:

The Government of Tamil Nadu direct that the days specified in the Annexure to this order shall be observed as General Holidays by all State Government Offices during the year 2006 and the same will be published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette:-

NOTIFICATION

The Government direct that the all the offices under the control of the Government of Tamil Nadu be closed on:-

a) The dates specified in the notification annexed to this order

b) All Saturdays and Sundays in the year 2006

2. The above General Holidays notified shall also apply to all State Government Undertakings/Corporations/Boards, etc.

The following notification will be published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette.

NOTIFICATION

Under the explanation to Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (Central Act XXVI of 1881) read with the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Notification No.20-25/26/Public-I, dated the 8th June 1957, the Government of Tamil Nadu, hereby, declare that in addition to Sundays expressly defined as Public Holidays in the said "Explanation", the following days shall be observed as Public Holidays in Tamil Nadu during the year 2006:-
