ORDER :

            In partial modification of the orders issued in the Government Order second read above, the Government direct that the quantum of relief of Rs.50,000/- payable to the following categories ordered therein be enhanced to Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One lakh only) :

           1(a)          Death in Caste / Communal Clashes

             (b)           Death due to Police torture

             (c)           Death due to Police firing

             (d)          Rape by Police

           2. Permanent incapacitation.

             2. The Government accordingly direct that the District Collectors be empowered to sanction relief in accordance with the orders mentioned in para 1 above.  Relief amount should be disbursed within one month of the date of occurrence of the incident.  The amount shall be met by the District Collectors from the Savings Bank Account of the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund maintained by the District Collectors.

           3. This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide its U.O.No.6476/FS/P/97, dated 2.1.98.
