ORDER:

Under rule 4(2) of the IAS (Cadre) Rules, 1954, sanction is accorded for the creation of a temporary post of Commissioner of Commercial Taxes in the Super Time Scale of IAS for a period of one year with effect from the date of appointment or till the need for it ceases whichever is earlier.

2. The following transfer and postings are notified :-

(i) Thiru Debendranath Sarangi, IAS, Secretary to Government, Revenue Department is transferred and posted to act as Commissioner of Commercial Taxes in the post created in para-1 above, in the place of Thiru Shaktikanta Das, IAS, holding additional charge ; and

(ii) Dr.N.Sundaradevan, IAS, Director, Tamil Nadu Industrial Guidance and Export Promotion Bureau on return from leave, is posted to act as Secretary to Government, Revenue Department vice Thiru Debendranath Sarangi, IAS.

3. Under rule 9(1) of the IAS (Pay) Rules, 1954, the Government declare that the temporary post of Commissioner of Commercial Taxes in the Super Time Scale of IAS, created in para-1 above, be equivalent in status and responsibilities to the cadre post of "Registrar of Co-operative Societies" specified in Schedule III-A of the IAS (Pay) Rules, 1954.
