------ ORDER: In the Government Order second read above, a sum of Rs.45.00 lakhs was sanctioned to the Tourism Sector for the development of tourism in the Western Ghats Region under Western Ghats Development Programme during 2004-2005. 2. In the letter third read above, the Commissioner of Tourism has sent proposals for sanction of Rs.125.00 lakhs for the promotion of tourism under Western Ghats Development Programme for the year 2005-06. After detailed examination, the above proposals have been reduced to the level of Rs.35.00 lakhs and recommended to the Union Planning Commission, Government of India for approval. In the letter fourth read above, the Union Planning Commission,, Government of India have accorded approval for Rs.35.00 lakhs to the Tourism Sector for the promotion of tourism in the Western Ghats Region under Western Ghats Development Programme for the year 2005-06. 3. The Government, after careful consideration, accord sanction for incurring an expenditure of Rs.35.00 lakhs (Rupees thirty five lakhs only) to the Tourism Sector for promotion of tourism schemes in the Western Ghats Region as detailed in the Annexure to this order. 4. The expenditure sanctioned in para-3 above shall be debited under the following head of account in Demand No. 28 (Information and Tourism Department – Tourism) as detailed below:
5. Necessary provision will be made in Revised Estimate/Final Modified Appropriation 2005-06. Pending provision of funds, the Commissioner of Tourism is authorised to draw and disburse the amount sanctioned in para-3 above for the implementation of tourism schemes in the Western Ghats Region under Western Ghats Development Programme. 6. Pending provision of funds, the Pay and Accounts Officer (Secretariat), Chennai-9 is requested to admit and honour the bill if it is otherwise found to be in order. The Commissioner of Tourism shall include the above expenditure while sending proposals for Revised Estimate/Final Modified Appropriation 2005-06 without fail. 7. The Commissioner of Tourism shall implement the schemes as detailed in the Annexure to this order under Western Ghats Development Programme for the year 2005-2006 and to send the monthly progress reports by 15th of every month to the Government without fail. 8. As ordered in the Government Order first read above, the Secretary, Information and Tourism Department shall watch the implementation of the scheme. 9. This Order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.35867/I&T/2005, dated.29.6.2005 and additional sanction ledger No.297.
