In the Government Order second read above, a sum of Rs.3.50 lakhs was sanctioned for implementation of the scheme "Starting of Brush Production Unit at Pulliyangudi, Sivagiri Taluk in Tirunelveli District" under Western Ghats Development Programme during 2004-2005.

2. In the letter third read above, the Chief Executive Officer and Ex-officio(i/c), Tamil Nadu Palm Products Development Board has sent proposals for sanction of Rs.7 lakhs for implementation of Palm Products Development schemes under Western Ghats Development Programme during 2005-2006. After detailed examination, the scheme of ‘Distribution of Tools and Equipments to the 300 Palmgur Artisans to process the Palm Jaggery out of Neera’ with an outlay of Rs.4.50 lakhs has been accepted and recommended to Union Planning

Commission, Government of India for approval. In the letter fourth read above, the Union Planning Commission, Government of India have approved an outlay of Rs.4.50 lakhs for implementation of above Palm Products Development scheme under Western Ghats Development Programme during 2005-2006.

3. The Government, after careful consideration, accord sanction for incurring an expenditure of Rs.4.50 lakhs (Rupees four lakhs and fifty thousand only) as Grants to the Tamil Nadu Palm Products Development Board for implementation of the scheme ‘Distribution of Tools and Equipments to the 300 Palmgur Artisans to process the Palm Jaggery out of Neera’ in Coimbatore and Erode Districts under Western Ghats Development Programme during 2005-2006 as detailed in the Annexure to this order.

4. The expenditure sanctioned in para-3 above shall be debited under the following head of account in Demand No. 17 as detailed below:

"2551. Hill Areas – 01. Western Ghats – 108. Village and Small Industries - Schemes in the Tenth Five Year Plan – II. State Plan – JE. Grants to Tamil Nadu Palm Products Development Board for implementation of various Palm Products Development Schemes under Western Ghats Development Programme – 09. Grants in aid – 03. Grants for specific schemes" (DPC 2551 01 108 JE 0933)

5. The expenditure sanctioned in para-3 above shall not be paid in cash but shall be contra credited to the following head of account for deposit in Personal Deposit Account of the Tamil Nadu Palm Products Development Board:-

"K. Deposits and Advances (b) Deposits not bearing interest – 8443. 00. Civil Deposits – 800. Other Deposits – AE. Deposits of Government Companies, Corporations, etc.- 79. Deposits of Tamil Nadu Palm Products Development Board" (DPC 8443 00 800 AE 790A)" (Receipts)

6. Necessary additional funds will be provided in Revised Estimate/Final Modified Appropriation 2005-06. Pending provision of additional funds in Revised Estimate/Final Modified Appropriation 2005-06, the Collector of Coimbatore and Erode District is authorised to draw the amount sanctioned in para-3 above and credit it into Personal Deposit Account of the Tamil Nadu Palm Products Development Board as ordered in para-5 above by issuing necessary advice to Reserve Bank of India, Chennai.

7. The Chief Executive Officer and Ex-officio(i/c), Tamil Nadu Palm Products Development Board shall implement the scheme as detailed in the Annexure to this order under Western Ghats Development Programme for the year 2005-2006 and to send the monthly progress reports by 15^th of every month to the Government without fail. He shall take into account the additional expenditure sanctioned above while sending proposal for Revised Estimate/Final Modifies Appropriation 2005-06 to the Government in Finance Department, at the appropriate time.

8. As ordered in the Government Order first read above, the Handlooms, Handicrafts, Textiles and Khadi Department shall to watch the implementation of the scheme.
