ORDER:

In the Government Order second read above, a sum of Rs.11.80 lakhs was sanctioned for the implementation of various ongoing sericulture schemes under Western Ghats Development Programme during the year 2004-2005.

2. For the year 2005-2006, the Director of Sericulture (i/c) has sent proposals for various ongoing schemes at the total outlay of Rs.47.18 lakhs to benefit 400 farmers, out of which the flow from WGDP, Tamil Nadu will be Rs.11.795 lakhs i.e. only 25% share from the WGDP, Tamil Nadu and another 25% share from the Central Silk Board and remaining 50% share from the beneficiary contribution. After detailed examination, it was decided to recommend these proposals to the Union Planning Commission, Government of India for approval. In the letter fourth read above, the Union Planning Commission, Government of India has communicated its approval of Rs.11.80 lakhs for the implementation of various ongoing sericulture schemes under WGDP for the year 2005-2006.

3) The Government, after careful consideration, accord sanction to incur an expenditure of Rs.11.80 lakhs (Rupees eleven lakhs and eighty thousand only) for the implementation of various ongoing sericulture schemes under Western Ghats Development Programme for the year 2005-2006 as detailed in the Annexure to this order.

4) The expenditure sanctioned in para-3 above shall be debited under the following head of account :

"2551.Hill Areas – 01.Western Ghats – 108. Village and Small Industries – Schemes in the Tenth Five Year Plan – II. State Plan – JB. Establishment of Mulberry Government Seed Farm Disinfections Squad and Seed Farm under Western Ghats Development Programme – 09. Grants-in-Aid – 01. Grants for current expenditure" (DPC No.2551 01 108 JB 0911)".

 

5) The Director of Sericulture is authorised to draw and disburse the amount sanctioned in para-3 above for implementation of various ongoing sericulture schemes and shall send the monthly Progress Report by 15th of every month.

6) As ordered in the Government order first read above, the Secretary to Government, Handlooms, Handicrafts, Textiles and Khadi Department and the Collector of Coimbatore, Dindigul, Theni, Virudhunagar and Tirunelveli shall watch the implementation of the above schemes.

7) This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No. 1586/FS/P/05, dated 11-5-2005.
