ORDER:
The following Notification will be published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette:-
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Tamil Nadu Government Servants’ Recognition of Service Associations Rules, 1974.
2.The amendments hereby made shall come into force on the 20th April 1999.
AMENDMENT
In the said Rules, in rule 4 for clause(f), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-
“(f) The funds of the Service Association shall consist exclusively of subscriptions from members and grants, if any, made by the Government and these funds shall be applied only for the furtherance of the objects of Service Associations:
Provided that a Service Association may be permitted by the Government to collect funds from its willing members Where the rules of the Service Association provided for Collection of such funds for the purpose of giving succors to the families of its members following the demise of such members or for the purchase of land or building or construction of a building for the Association for official purpose or for any welfare schemes for the members or for their families”.
