The Principal Commissioner and Commissioner of Revenue Administration has brought to the notice of Government that most of the applicants are sending their applications for alteration of date of birth direct to the Principal Commissioner and Commissioner of Revenue Administration, wrongly interpreting the instructions issued in Government letter first cited above. I am directed to state that Government issue rhe following instructions in this regard :-
(i) Applicants shall submit their applications for alteration of date of birth to their appointing authority concerned and not to the Principal Commissioner and Commissioner of Revenue Administration direct.
(ii) Such applications, if they are entertained, shall be forwarded by the appointing authority through its Head of the Department to the Principal Commissioner and Commissioner of Revenue Administration after satisfy themselves that necessary documents are supplied by the applicants in support of their claims. Such applications shall not be forwarded direct to the Revenue Divisional Officer concerned by the appointing authorities themselves.
