ORDER:
The Government have examined the proposal to recognise a pass in plus 2 in the Higher Secondary School Level as equivalent to Pre-University Course (Old Pattern) for purpose of appointment in public services in this State. The Director of School Education, Director of Collegiate Education, Registrar, University of Madras and the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission who were consulted in the matter have agreed for the recognition of the above said qualification as equivalent to a pass in Pre-University Course (Old Pattern). The Government accordingly direct that a pass in plus 2 in the Higher Secondary Education of this State be recognised as equivalent to a pass in pre-University Course (Old Pattern) for purpose of appointment to public services in this State.
