ORDER:

In the references read above, the name of 73/39/112 Assistants/Non Graduate Assistants/Personal Assistants/Personal Clerks/Typists were included in the panel fit for promotion as Assistant Section Officer as on 1.8.1996 and 1.8.1997 respectively were communicated to the Departments of Secretariat.

All the individuals, except those who have relinquished their rights for promotion in the regular line and who have expired, are working as Assistant Section Officers in the Departments of Secretariat.

3. The Departments of Secretariat are requested to regularize the services of the persons whose names are given in the Annexure I and II to this G.O. and who are fully qualified to hold the post of Assistant Section Officer under Rule 39(f) of the General Rules for Tamil Nadu State and Subordinate Services with effect from the date on which they are working as Assistant Section Officers after verifying the entries in the Service Books whether they possess the following qualifications eligibility.

I. ASSISTANT SECTION OFFICERS PROMOTED FROM THE CATEGORY OF ASSISTANT:-

(i) Must be a approved probationer (services in the Assistant category must have been regularized)

(ii) Must have undergone Foundational Training conducted by the Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Training) Department and passed the examination held at the end of the training.

II. ASSISTANT SECTION OFFICERS PROMOTED FROM THE CATEGORIES OF TYPIST/PERSONAL CLERK/PERSONAL ASSISTANT/NON-GRADUATE ASSISTANT.

(i) Must be an approved probationer;

(ii) Must have completed five years of service;

(iii) Must have passed the Departmental Test for Tamil Nadu Secretariat Service Parts I and II

(OR)

Must have undergone Foundational Training conducted by the Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Training) Department and passed the examination held at the end of the training.
