 ORDER

 The following notification will be published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette:-

 NOTIFICATION

 In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Special Rules  for the Tamil Nadu General Subordinate Services (Section 13 in Volume III of the Tamil Nadu Services Manual, 1970).

2. The amendments hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force on the 8th September 1994.

 AMENDMENTS

 In the said Special Rules, in Part-II, under Class XXII,-

 (1)   in rule 7 to sub-rule (1), the following proviso shall be added, namely:-

" Provided that in so far as the Technical Education Department is concerned, the transfer of Record Clerks from one office or Institution to another Office or Institution shall be made by the Director of Technical Education.";

 (2)   in the Annexure, under "Category:- 1 Record Clerks in Technical Education Department"  for the entries "Office of the Director of Technical Education and office of the Engineering College, Polytechnics and other Institutes." in column (1) and "Additional Director of Technical Education" in column (2), the following entries shall, respectively be substituted, namely:-

 "Office of the Director of                            Additional Director of
of Technical Education.                             Technical Education.
Engineering Colleges,                                  Principal of the
Polytechnics and other                              Institutions concerned.
Institutions under the
control of the Director
of Technical Education.
