ABSTRACT
Animal Birth Control -
Implementation of Animal Birth Control Programme in
5 Corporations and 50 Municipalities - Permission to incur an expenditure
of Rs.5,78,27,750/- (Rupees five crores seventy eight lakhs Twenty seven
thousand seven hundred and fifty only) initially and subsequently to reimburse
the amount from Animal Welfare Board of India - Orders Issued.

ORDER:
The Commissioner of Municipal Administration in his letter read above has
stated that, in pursuance of the announcement made by the Hon'ble
Minister for Local Administration to implement Animal Birth Control Programme in
5 Corporations and 50 Municipalities, a survey was conducted on stray dogs and
domestic dogs in all the Urban Local Bodies and that based on the survey the
following Corporations and Municipalities have been selected. Those
Municipalities include all District Head Quarters, Special Grade Municipalities
and Municipalities in Madras Metropolitan Development Authority area as shown
below.
