COMMITTEE - The Nilgiris District - Construction of District Level Architectural and Aesthetic Aspects Committee - Orders - Issued.

In the G.O. first read above, orders have been issued delegating the powers vested with the Government under sections 217-D, 217-E and 217-F of the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920 (Tamil Nadu Act V of, 1920) to the Collectors of the Nilgiris, Salem and Dindigul districts. In the G.O. second and third read above, Government have constituted the Architectural and Aesthetic Aspects Committee for the above said districts to assist the Collectors concerned in sanctioning building licences in the hill stations of the above said districts for a period of two years with effect from 22.2.2001. The term of the above said Committees expired on 21.2.2003. The Government have decided to reconstitute the Committee afresh in respect of the Nilgiris district for two years from the date of publication of the Notification.

2. The appended, Notification will be published, in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, Etraordinary, dated the 1st March of 2004.

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 217-P of the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920 (Tamil Nadu Act V of 1920) the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby constitutes for the Nilgiries district, the Committee for Architectural and Aesthetic Aspects for all the hill stations in that district with following persons.
