From the Commissioner of Labour,  Letter No.Z3 / 32766 / 06, dated 7.7.2006.

 ORDER:

The Commissioner of Labour, in his letter read above, has sent proposals to reconstitute the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers Social Security and Welfare Board.

2. The Government have  decided to reconstitute the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers Social Security and Welfare Board.  Accordingly the appended Notification will be published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette   both in English and Tamil.  The Works Manager, Government Central Press  Chennai is requested to send 20 copies of the Gazette to the Government and 20 copies to the Commissioner of Labour, Chennai-6.

3. The Secretary, Tamil Development and Religious Endowments (Translations) Department will furnish the Tamil version of the Notification to the Works Manager, Government Central Press, Chennai for publication in the Gazette.

4. The non-official members of the Board shall hold office for a period of  two years commencing on and from the date on which his appointment is first notified in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette as per sub-rule (2) of rule 19 of the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Rules, 1986.

5. The Board shall be treated as a First Class Committee for the purpose of Travelling Allowance and Daily Allowance.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (3) and (5) of section 6 of the Tamil Nadu Manual workers  (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act,  1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 33 of 1982) and in supersession of the  Labour and Employment Department Notification No.II(2)/LE/445/99, published at page 235 of Part II-Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated the 14th April 1999, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby reconstitutes the  Tamil Nadu Manual Workers Social Security and Welfare Board and nominates  the following members  to the said Board,  namely:-
