O R D E R:

In the G.O. first read above, the Government have established Tamil Nadu Artists Welfare Board with effect from 1.9.2006.

2. The Commissioner of Labour, in his letter second read above, has sent proposals for nominating Chairman and members to the Tamil Nadu Artists Welfare Board.

3. Accordingly the appended Notification will be published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette both in English and Tamil. The Works Manager, Government Central Press, Chennai is requested to send 20 copies of the Gazette to the Government and 20 copies to the Commissioner of Labour, Chennai-6.

4. The Secretary, Tamil Development and Religious Endowments (Translations) Department will furnish the Tamil version of the Notification to the Works Manager, Government Central Press, Chennai for publication in the Gazette.

5. The non-official members of the Board shall hold office for a period of two years commencing on and from the date on which his appointment is first notified in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, as per sub-rule (2) of rule 19 of the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Rules, 1986.

6. The Board shall be treated as a First Class Committee for the purpose of Travelling Allowance and Daily Allowance. The Chief Executive Officer/Secretary, Tamil Nadu Artists Welfare Welfare Board is authorized to countersign the T.A.Bills of non-official members of the Board .

7. This order does not require the concurrence of Finance Department vide its G.O.Ms.No.519, Finance Department, dated 29.9.07.
