LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT (I.1) DEPARTMENT G.O.Ms.No.12 Read: From the Commissioner of Labour, Letter No.Z3 / 67566 / 2006, dated 31.10.2006. - - - - ORDER:- The Commissioner of Labour, in his letter read above, has sent proposals to Government for the formation of a separate Welfare Board for the Manual Workers engaged in Domestic Works. 2. After careful examination, the Government direct that the Tamil Nadu Domestic workers Welfare Board be established separately and be notified in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette under section 6 of the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982, as appended to this order 3. Orders regarding nomination of members and notifying the Welfare Schemes to the above Board will be issued separately. 4. The appended notification shall be published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette in English. 5. The Secretary to Government, Tamil Development, Culture and Religious Endowments (Translations) Department, Secretariat, Chennai-600 009 is requested to send the Tamil translation of the Notification to the Works Manager, Government Central Press, Chennai-600 079. 5. The Works Manager, Government Central Press, Chennai-79 is requested to send 30 copies of the Notification to the Government for reference and record. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 6 of the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 33 of 1982), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby establishes the Tamil Nadu Domestic workers Welfare Board (îI›ï£´ i†´Š ðEò£÷˜ ïô õ£Kò‹) to provide social security and welfare measures for the manual workers engaged in the employment in domestic works specified in item 56 of the schedule to the said Act.
