ORDER : 

The following Notification will be published in the Tamilnadu Government Gazette. 

NOTIFICATION 

  Whereas the Electric Goods Manufacturing Industry has been declared to be a public utility service for the purpose of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (Central Act XIV of 1947), for a period of six months up to and inclusive of the 20.9.2001 in the Labour and Employment Department Notification No. II (2)/LE/288/2001, dated the 20.2.2001 published at page 139 of Part-II Section 2 of the Tamilnadu Government Gazette, dated the 21.3.2001.

And whereas, the Governor of Tamilnadu is of opinion that public interest requires the extension of the said period for a further period of six months;

Now, therefore, in exercise of powers conferred by sub-clause (vi) of clause (n) of Section 2 read with the proviso thereto of the said Act, the Governor of Tamilnadu hereby extends the period specified above for a further period of six months commencing from the date of publication of the Notification.
