ORDER:

An announcement was made on the floor of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly in the Governor’s Address for 2003 that 10,000 houses for Beedi Workers would be constructed within a period of 5 years. The Commissioner of Labour in his letter read above has sent a draft action plan for the construction of 10,000 houses for the Beedi Workers in Tamil Nadu under the Integrated Housing Scheme during the five years from 2002-2003.

The Commissioner of Labour has requested the Government to accord necessary approval for implementing the Integrated Housing Scheme for the Beedi Workers in Tamil Nadu as per the above Action Plan.

2. The Government after careful consideration approve the Action Plan, as proposed by the Commissioner of Labour in para 1 above, for construction of 10,000 houses for Beedi Workers under the Integrated Housing Scheme for Beedi Workers within a period of five years from 2002-2003.

3. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.57050/L&E/2004, dated 10.9.2004.(By order of the Governor)
