Sub:    Minimum Wages Act, 1948- Employment in Match Manufactory-Revision of Minimum rates of wages -Preliminary Notification issued-Amendment to the Notification-Regarding.

The following amendments shall be issued to the Preliminary Notification approved in G.O.(2D) No.29, Labour and  Employment, dated 24.5.2004 and published  at pp 336-337 of Part II Section 2  in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated 14.7.2004 as Notification No.II(2)/LE/557/2004.

AMENDMENT-I

In the  Schedule to the  Notification appended in G.O.(2D) No.29, Labour and Employment dated 24.5.2004, under the Employment in Match Manufactory under the column (1) Classes of employees in S.No.1 Class-1 for the existing: 

‘Dipping master/Chemical dipping/parafining fitters, foreman, sewman, chopping drivers and pooling drivers’.

The following shall be substituted.

‘Dipping master/Chemical dipping/wax dipping, para fining fitters, foreman, sewman, chopping drivers and peeling drivers’.

AMENDMENT II

Under clause IV for the following:

“Cleaners/Watchman/Peon/Office boys, frame takers/frame givers and other unskilled mazdoors and  -------- dipping”

the following shall be substituted:

“Cleaners/Watchman/Peon/Office boys, frame takers/Frame givers and other un-skilled mazdoors and Rhodomin dipping.”

AMENDMENT-III

In para 6, and under the table classes of work (1) against S.No.(5), for the existing ‘Frame filling 48.18 Centi metre’

the following shall be substituted:

“Frame filling 43.18 Centimetre”

AMENDMENT-IV

Under Column (1), and (2) S.No.7 for the existing

‘Band rolling (For Cardboard boxes only-Rs.0.75 per 100 Boxes-the following shall be substituted.

‘Band rolling (for card board boxes only- Rs.0.76 paise per 100 boxes.

AMENDMENT-V

Under the heading ‘(1) Dearness Allowance’ under (i) in the fourth line for the existing words and figures- ‘ Rs.4.40 (Rupees four and paise forty only) per month, the words and figures’ 14 paise (fourteen paise only) per day’ shall be substituted.

2. The Works Manager, Government Central Press, Chennai-79 is requested to publish the above amendments to the Notification published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette and send 5 copies to this Government  for reference and record.
