ORDER:
An announcement was made by the Hon'ble Minister for Labour on the floor of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly on 23.4.2003 that new trades will be started in the following Industrial Training Institutes during the year 2003-04.
a) Industrial Electronics - Salem, Guindy, Ambattur(W)
b) Computer Hardware - Coimbatore, Hosur, Ambattur
c) Mechanic Mechatronics - Hosur, Coimbatore, Madurai
Based on the above announcement, the Commissioner of Employment and Training has submitted proposals to the Government.
2. The Commissioner of Employment and Training has sent the details of trades to be introduced together with duration of trade, number of seats and units as detailed below with the details of cost of recurring and non-recurring expenditure for the introduction of new trades as follows:-

3. The Government after careful consideration accept the proposal of Commissioner of Employment and Training stated at para 2 above for starting of the new trades by diversification of existing trades in Government Industrial Training Institutes, and accord sanction for a sum of Rs.166.26 lakhs (Rupees one hundred and sixty six lakhs and twenty six thousand only) as non-recurring and Rs.15.39 lakhs (Rupees fifteen lakhs and thirty nine thousand only) as recurring expenditure and the recurring cost of 2004-05 will be Rs.13.32 lakhs (Rupees thirteen lakhs and thirty two thousand only) The details of the posts transferred by deployment are shown in the Annexure to this order to run the new units in the respective places.
4. The expenditure shall be debited to the following head of account:-

Training expenses, stipends, office expenses, computer maintenance etc.

5. The expenditure sanctioned in para 3 above shall constitute on item of "New Service" and the approval of the legislature shall be obtained in supplementary estimates for 2004-05. Pending approval of the legislature, the expenditure will initially met by an advance from the contingency fund of Tamil Nadu. The Commissioner of Employment and Training is requested to apply for this advance in the prescribed format in duplicate to Finance(BG.I) Department along with the explanatory note to include this in the supplementary estimate/FSE for 2004-05.
6. This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide its U.O.No.61399/L&E/04 dated 20.9.2004 and Additional Sanction ledger No.687.
