Out of the above 71 posts, the following posts were discontinued in Government I.T.I., Metturdam with effect from 01.03.1983 for want of adequate response for full-time course in the I.T.I.

So, the Director of Employment and Training has requested the Government to disband the rest of the 64 posts (71-7) and to issue necessary orders. The Director of Employment and Training has further stated that the Department of Government Examinations, Department of Technical Education and almost all the Universities in the State have already computerised their examination system and Department of Employment and Training alone need not lag behind .
2. For the formation of Examination Cell at the Headquarters, the Director of Employment and Training has therefore, proposed for the sanction of the following posts by re-deployment from the existing sanctioned posts:-

- 3. The Director of Employment and Training has also requested to re deploy the following existing posts to the Office of the Regional Joint Directors, Coimbatore, Madurai, Trichy, Chennai and Tirunelveli to look after the increased work due to the starting of Private affiliated Industrial Training Centres.

Hence, the Director of Employment and Training has requested the Government to deploy the above existing posts and to issue necessary orders.
4. The Director of Employment and Training has also requested to sanction a sum of Rs. 2.00 lakhs per annum towards computer stationery and also sanction a sum of Rs. 80,000/- for the training of staff in companies of repute.
5. After careful examination, the Government accept the proposal of Director of Employment and Training and issue the following orders:
(i) 64 posts sanctioned under ‘TRYSEM’ scheme as mentioned in the Annexure-I are disbanded.
(ii) Sanction is accorded for the re-deployment of 15 posts as mentioned in Annexure-II for Computerisation of Examination System and formation of Examination Cell at the headquarters of Training Wing of the Department of Employment and Training, Chennai – 5, w.e.f.1.4.2003.
The Officers and staff to be created by re-deployment may be permitted to draw their pay and allowances in the following heads of account:
(a). Computerisation of Examination System and formation of Examination cell at the Head Quarters:
“2230 – Labour and Employment – 03. Training – 003. Training of Craftsmen and Supervisor – I. Non-Plan – AA. Headquarters staff –01. Salaries”

(b). Regional Offices:
“2230 – Labour and Employment – 03. Training – 001. Direction and Administration – I. Non-Plan – AG. Setting up of Regional Office – 01. Salaries

(iii) Government also sanction an amount of Rs. 2.00 lakhs per annum towards computer stationery. The expenditure may be debited to the following head of account:-
“2230. Labour and Employment – 03. Training – 003. Training of Craftsmen and Supervisors – I. Non-Plan – AA. Headquarters staff – 05. Office Expenses – 2. Other contegencies”

4. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No. 9025 / L&E / 2002-1 dt.25.2.12003.
