ORDER :

In the Government Orders first to sixth read above, Government have issued orders  delegating  certain financial powers   to   the   second  level / subordinate   officers of   the   Labour  Department.

2.   The   Commissioner  of   Labour,  in his letters sixth and  seventh  read above,   has  stated  that  the powers delegated  to  the   Second Level  / Subordinate  Officers were not  revised for  the  past  25   years   and  in view  of  the   vast change  in  the   office   administration spiraling cost of  the articles,   etc.,   there   is   a  need   to   revise   the   financial  powers now exercised by the   second  level  and  subordinate   officers of  the Department. The Commissioner  of  Labour has  also proposed  that the financial  powers   now exercised by him in respect of stationery articles  building  rent  and  repairs  of furniture's  may  be  enhanced,'"

3.   After careful  examination,   the   Government accept the proposal of  the   Commissioner  of   Labour  and direct that the financial   powers   now exercised  by  the second  level and subordinate  officers be enhanced  as follows :-

4.  The. Government  also delegate! the financial  powers  now exercised by the   Commissioner  of  Labour to  Joint  Commissioner  of  Labour   (Administration),   Office of  the   Commissioner  of   Labour,   Chennai.6:-

5.  The   Government   further direct   that  the proposal   to  enhance   the  financial  power of  the   Commissioner 3f  Labour,   in  respect   of   purchase   of   Stationery  articles, sanctioning   of   Building   Rent   and  repair of furniture be   rejected.

6. This order issues with the concurrence of   Finance   department vide  its   U.O.No.51593/L&E/2002-l, dated  26.7.2002.
