ORDER :
The Appended Notification will be published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette both in English and Tamil.
2. The Notification will come into force with effect from 1.4.2000.
3. The Director, Tamil Development Culture (Translation) Department, Chennai-9 is requested to supply Tamil Translation of the Notification direct to the Works Manager, Government Central Press, Chennai 600 079. The Works Manager is requested to send 5 copies of the Notification to the Government for reference and record. He is also requested to send 2 copies of the Notification to the Commissioner of Labour, Chennai direct.

APPENDIX
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and (2) of Section 72 of the Standards of Weights and Measures (Enforcement) Act, 1985 (Central Act 54 of 1985), the Governor of Tamil Nadu after consultation with the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment to the Tamil Nadu Standards of Weights and Measures (Enforcement) Rules, 1989, the draft of the same having been previously published as required under sub-section (4) of Section 72 of the said Act.
2. The Amendment hereby made shall come into force with effect on and from the 1st April, 2000.
AMENDMENT
In the said Rules, in Rule 14, to sub-rule (1), after proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely :-
“Provided further that the beam scale, counter machine and liquid capacity measures (dipping measures, pouring measure and conical measure) shall be reverified and stamped once in a period of twenty four months”.
