ORDER

In the G.O. first read above, the Government have given approval to the proposal of the Managing Director, Tamilnadu Tourism Development Corporation Limited, Chennai, to franchise 15 (Fifteen) unviable hotel units of the Corporation on "as is where is condition" to avoid further cash loss and to improve the other units significantly, so that the hotel units as a whole become viable. In the same order, the terms and conditions and the draft agreement for franchising these units were also issued.

2. In the letters 2^nd read above, the Managing Director, Tamilnadu Tourism Development Corporation Limited, has proposed certain changes in the franchise terms and conditions and certain amendments to the draft franchise agreement. The same is under the consideration of the Government.

3. In the letters 3^rd read above, the Chairman and Managing Director, Tamilnadu Tourism Development Corporation Limited has reported that the Board of the Tamilnadu Tourism Development Corporation Limited has resolved to franchise the unviable hotel units at Pudukkottai, Sathur, Tirunelveli, Ranipet and Gudalur also, after obtaining the approval of the Government. The Managing Director, Tamilnadu Tourism Development Corporation Limited has therefore requested that the approval of the Government may be accorded to franchise these 5 (five) unviable hotel units of the Corporation, subject to the terms and conditions to be revised.

4. After careful examination, the Government hereby accord approval to the proposal of the Managing Director, Tamilnadu Tourism Development Corporation Limited, to franchise the following unviable hotel units of the Corporation : -

1. Hotel Tamil Nadu, Pudukkottai
2. Hotel Tamil Nadu, Sathur
3. Hotel Tamil Nadu, Tirunelveli
4. Hotel Tamil Nadu, Ranipet and
5. Hotel Tamil Nadu, Gudalur.

The revised terms and conditions and the revised draft agreement for franchising the hotel units will be issued separately.

5. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.1783 / BPF / 2000, dt: 25-9-2000.
