ORDER:

The Commissioner of Tourism has sent a proposal to Government for organizing Tamil Nadu Travel Mart in Chennai and requested for sanction of Rs.200.00 lakhs under Part II Schemes 2003-2004.

2) After careful examination, the Government accept the proposal of the Commissioner of Tourism and sanction a sum of Rs.25.00 lakhs (Rupees Twenty Five lakhs only) towards organizing 5 days SKAL conference in Chennai during October 2003 under Part II Schemes 2003-2004.

3) The amount sanctioned in para 2 above shall be debited to “3452 Tourism 80 General 001 – Direction and Administration Schemes in the X th Five year Plan II State Plan JA promotion and Publicity of Tourism-08 Advertising and Publicity 09 others (DPC 3452 -80-001 JA 0896)”.

4) The Commissioner of Tourism is authorized to draw the amount sanctioned in para 2 above and disburse to the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation Ltd., for organizing the Travel mart in Chennai.  The Commissioner of Tourism is requested to send a detailed report to Government on completion of the Travel Mart.

5) This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.34869 / Information and Tourism / 2003 dated 13-06-2003.
