ORDER:

The Commissioner of Tourism has forwarded the proposal of the District Collector, Tirunelveli for the Development of Nainarkulam in Tirunelveli District at a total estimate cost of Rs 130 lakhs. The details of work are given below:-

The Commissioner of Tourism has stated that, out of Total estimate cost of Rs.130 lakhs, 50% of the cost will be met by the District Collector from District Administration funds, other 50% of the cost Rs.65 lakhs may be sanctioned from Government as Tourism Department fund.

2. The Government after careful examination approved the proposal for Development of Nainarkulam in Tirunelveli District at a total estimate cost of Rs 130 lakhs (Rupees one hundred and thirty lakhs only). Accordingly the Government sanction Rs 65 lakhs (Rupees sixty five lakhs only) as 50% share of the total cost from Tourism Department Fund. Subject to the condition, that the overall sanction is not exceeding the Budget Estimate 2005-2006, and permit the District Collector, Tirunelveli to meet the balance amount of Rs.65 lakhs (Rupees sixty five lakhs only) from District Administration Funds subject to the condition that the estimate should be countersigned by the District Collector.

3. The amount sanctioned in para 2 shall be debited to the following head of account:-

“ 5452- Capital Outlay on Tourism – 01 – Tourist Infrastructure – 101 – Tourist Centre – Schemes in the Tenth Five Year Plan – II State Plan KV improvement of Basic facilities in Tourist Centres – 09– Grants-in-Aid-03 – Grants for Specific Schemes” (DPC.5452 01 101 KV 0936)

4. The Commissioner of Tourism is authorized to draw and disburse the amount sanctioned in para 2 above to the Collector, Tirunelveli District.

5. The Commissioner of Tourism is requested to fix time schedule for execution of work before disbursement to the Executing Agency.

6. The Commissioner of Tourism is requested to watch the progress of the works and send periodical report to Government. The Commissioner of Tourism is also requested to get the report on Progress of work periodically and obtained utilisation certificate from the concerned authorities and send it to Government.

7. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.498 /FS/P/2006, Dated: 2-2-2006.
