ORDER:

The Commissioner of Tourism has recommended the proposal of the Villupuram District Collector for providing the following infrastructure facilities at St. Antony Church at Melnariyappanur in Villupuram District at a total estimate cost of Rs 20.80 lakhs:-

He has stated that adequate funds are available to meet 50% of share of estimate cost from Tourism Department Fund. The balance share 50% of the total project cost would be met by the District Administration.

2.The Government, after careful examination, has decided to accept the proposal of the Commissioner of Tourism to provide infrastructure facilities at St. Antony Church at Melnariyappanur village in Villupuram District at a estimate cost of Rs.20.80 lakhs and to sanction a sum of Rs 10.40 lakhs (Rupees ten lakhs and forty thousand only) as the share of Tourism Department being 50% of the total estimate cost of Rs 20.80 lakhs and permit the District Collector, Villupuram District to meet the balance amount of Rs 10.40 lakhs from the Distrct Administrative Fund. Subject to the condition that :

(i) the estimate should be counter-signed by the Chief Executive Engineer/Appropriate Technical sanction Authority and

(ii) the overall expenditure should not exceed the budget allocation .

The assets created would be maintained by the District Administration.

3. The Commissioner of Tourism is authorized to draw and disburse the amount sanctioned in para 2 above to the Collector Villupuram District. The Commissioner of Tourism is requested to fix time schedule for the execution of work before disbursement to the Executive Agency.

4. The amount sanctioned in para 3 above shall be debited to the following head of account:-

“5452 – Capital Outlay on Tourism -01-Tourist infrastructure – 101 – Tourist Centre – Schemes in the Tenth Five Year Plan –II State Plan – KV improvement of Basic facilities in Tourist Centres – 09 – Grants – in –Aid-03-Grants for Specific Schemes” (DPC.No. 5452 01 101 KV 0936)

5. The Commissioner of Tourism is requested to watch the progress of the works and send periodical reports to Government. The Commissioner of Tourism is also requested to get the reports on progress of works periodically and utilization certificates obtained from the concerned authorities and send it to Government.

6. This order issue with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No 16/JS (TK) 06, Dated: 23-1-2006
