Order:

The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has conveyed the sanction of the project “Development of Kazhugumalai” under Rural Tourism during 2003-2004 at a total cost of Rs. 48.68 lakhs and released a sum of Rs. 14.60 lakhs as first instalment.

2) The State Government in the G.O. second read above has approved the project “Development of Kazhugumalai” under Rural Tourism during 2003-2004 at a total cost of Rs. 48.68 lakh and sanctioned a sum of Rs. 14.60 lakhs released by Government of India as first instalment to the District Collector Thoothukudi to execute the work. The District Collector has fully utilized the above amount and sent the Utilisation Certificate to Commissioner of Tourism and he has forwarded the Utilisation Certificate to Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

3) Based on the Utilisation Certificate the Government of India has now released the second instalment of Rs.24.34 lakhs.

The Commissioner of Tourism has requested to sanction the second instalment of Rs. 24.34 lakhs released by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and to authorize him to draw and disburse the amount to the District Collector, Thoothukudi so as to complete the project.

5) The Government after careful consideration accept the proposal of the Commissioner of Tourism and sanction the release of Rs. 24.34 lakhs (Rupees twenty four lakhs and thirty four thousand only) as the second instalment of central share towards the project for the Development of Kazhugumalai under Rural Tourism.

6) The Commissioner of Tourism is authorized to draw and disburse the amount sanctioned in para-5 above to the District Collector, Thoothukudi under proper acknowledgement.

The Commissioner of Tourism is requested to fix time schedule for execution of work before disbursement to the executive agency.

The expenditure is debitable to the following head of Account :-

3452.Tourism-01 Tourist Infrastructure 1012-Tourist Centers scheme in Tenth Five Year Plan – VI Schemes shared between state and Center – UM providing Basic amenities in TouristCentre-09 grants – in-Aid-03 grants for specific scheme (DPC.No.3452 01 101 UM 0938”

9) Necessary Funds will be provided in RE-FMA 2005 Pending provision of such funds in the the Pay & Accounts Officer, Chennai-9 is requested to admit to the bills for the above sanction while presenting the bills by The Commissioner of Tourism.

10) The Commissioner of Tourism is requested to send necessary proposal to Finance Department for providing funds in the Revised Estimate for the year 2005-2006.

11. This orders issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide its U.O.No.79357/I&T/2005, Dated 15.11.2005 and vide ASL No.1037.
