ORDER:-

The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, New Delhi in the reference first read above, has conveyed the sanction of the project of Development of Puliancholai as Picnic Spot (2001-2002) at a total cost of Rs.35.00 lakhs (Government of India share Rs. 17.50 lakhs + State Govt. share Rs.17.50 lakhs).

2. State Government have approved this project at a total cost of Rs.35.00 lakhs (Rupees Thrtyfive lakhs only) in the G.O. second read above. (Government of India share Rs.17.50 lakhs + State Government share Rs. 17.50 lakhs) (Rupees Seventeen lakhs and fifty thousand only) and entrusted the work to State Public Works Department. A sum of Rs.27.96 lakhs (Rupees Twentyseven lakhs and ninetysix thousand only)have so far been released to the State Public Works Department in two instalment as detailed below:

a) Sanction made by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India,Rs.13.98 lakhs (Rupees Thirteen lakhs and ninetyeight only) (Two instalments)

b) Sanction made by the State Govt. Rs.13.98 lakhs (Rupees Thirteen lakhs and ninetyeight only) (Two instalments)

3. The Commissioner of Tourism, has now stated that the State public Works Department, has completed the project and sent the completion report. The Completion Report was forwarded to Government of India by Commissioner of Tourism. Based on the Completion Report, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, has since released the final instalment of Rs.3.52 lakhs (Rupees Three lakhs and fiftytwo thousand only) and the total Government of India share so far released is Rs.17.50 lakhs (Rupees Seventeen lakhs and fifty thousand only) The Commissioner of Tourism has reported that Rs.3.52 lakhs (Rupees Three lakhs and fiftytwo thousand only) released by the Government of India has been remitted into Government account.

4. The Commissioner of Tourism has requested that a sum of Rs.7.04 lakhs (Rupees Seven lakhs and four thousand only) being the final instalment for this project as detailed below may be sanctioned to the Executive Engineer, Public Works Department, Buildings Construction Division Contonment, Thiruchirappalli-620 001.

a) Final instalment from Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, Rs. 3.52 lakhs (Rupees Three lakhs and fiftytwo thousand only)

b) Final instalment of state share Rs.3.52 lakhs (Rupees Three lakhs and fiftytwo thousand only)Total Rs.7.04 lakhs (Rupees Seven lakhs and four thousand only)

5. The Government after careful consideration have accepted the proposal of Commissioner of Tourism. Accordingly sanction is accorded for the payment of Rs.7.04 lakhs (Rupees Seven lakhs and four thousand only) to the Executive Engineer, Public Works Department Buildings Construction Division Contonment, Tiruchirappalli-620001. Being the final instalment of Government of India share and State Government Share on 50:50 basis.

The amount sanctioned in para 5 shall be debited to the following head of account.

“5452. Capital Outlay on Touris- 01. Tourist Infrastructure – 101. Tourist Centres – Schemes in Tenth Five Year Plan – VI . Schemes shared between State and Centre – UC . Providing basic amenities in Tourist Centres – 09. Grants-in-aid – 03. Grants for specific schemes (DPC: 5452 01 101 UC 0934)

7. The Commissioner of Tourism, Chennai-2 is authorized to draw the amount sanctioned in para 5 and disburse it to the Executive Engineer, Public Works Department Buildings Construction Division Contonment, Thiruchirappalli-620001 under proper acknowledgement.

This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide its U.O.NO. 79085/I&T/ Dated: 10.11.2005.
