ABSTRACT

Tourism – Provision of infrastructure facilities at Arlmighu Udhwaghanadha Swamy Temple at Tirumanancheri in Nagapattinam District at an estimated cost of Rs.20.00 lakhs (Rupees Twenty lakhs only) permission to meet the 50% estimated cost of Rs.10.00 lakhs (Rupees Ten lakhs only) from M.L.A Constituency Development fund by the Collector of Nagapattinam and sanction of Rs.10 lakhs (Rupees Ten lakhs only) from Tourism fund as its share – orders – issued.

ORDER:-

The Commissioner of Tourism has forwarded and recommended the proposal of District Collector, Nagapattinam District for the provision of the following infrastructure facilities at Tirumanancheri, Nagapattinam District.

He has also stated that the Collector of the Nagapattinam has assured that 50% of the total cost will be met from the M.L.A Constituency Development fund. The assets created would be maintained by the Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments Department. Therefore he has requested the Government to sanction Rs.10.00 lakhs (Rupees Ten lakhs only) being the 50% share of the Project cost from Tourism Department as its share and permit the Collector, Nagapattinam District to meet the balance Rs.10.00 lakhs (Rupees Ten lakhs only) from the M.L.A Constituency Development fund.

2. The Government after careful examination, accept the proposal of the Commissioner of Tourism and approve the estimate of Rs.20.00 lakhs (Rupees Twenty lakhs only) for the provision of infrastructure facilities at Thirumanancheri. Accordingly the government sanction of Rs.10.00 lakhs (Rupees Ten lakhs only) as its share and permit the Collector to meet the balance amount of Rs.10.00 lakhs (Rupees Ten lakhs only) from the M.L.A Constituency Development fund. The Executive Agency shall be the Collector Nagapattinam District. The assets created with this fund would be maintained by the Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments Department.

3. The expenditure shall be debited to the following head of account:

“5452 – Capital Outlay on Tourism -01 – Tourist infrastructure-101- Tourist Centre- Schemes in the Tenth Five Year Plan-II State Plan– KV improvement of Basic facilities in Tourist Centres -09 – Grants-in-Aid-03 – Grants for Specific Schemes”

4. The Commissioner of Tourism is authorized to draw and disburse the amount sanctioned in para 2 above to the Collector, Nagapattinam District. He is also requested to issue necessary instructions to the District Collector to execute the work within a stipulated period.

5. The Commissioner of Tourism is requested to watch the progress of the works and send periodical report to Government. The Commissioner of Tourism is also requested to get the report on Progress of works periodically and Utilisation Certificate from the concerned authorities and send it to Government.

6. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No. 75629/I&T/05, dated 29.10.05.
