In the letter second read above the Commissioner of Tourism has sent proposals for fixation of Targets for the Tourist Officers and Tourist Information Centers for the year 2002-2003.

2)The Government after careful consideration have decided to laid down the Targets for the Tourist Officers and Tourist Information Centers and the Targets fixed for the Year 2002-2003 as shown in the Annexure to this order.

3)The Tourist Officers and the Officers in the Directorate of Tourism should record their performances in respect of various schemes and items of work every month and send the same in the prescribed proforma to the commissioner of Tourism on or before 5^th of the succeeding month.

4)The Commissioner of Tourism will Monitor the work at every level in a systematic Manner. The performance should be based both or qualitative and quantitative aspects of the work. The review should be done in such a way as it would enable to critically assess the performance of the officers concerned and the assessment will be reflected in their confidential reports. This has been prescribed with a view to ensure the goal setting and accountability should go hand in hand.

5) The Commissioner of Tourism is requested to send such proposal for the year 2003-2004 well in advance to issue orders in time.
