ABSTRACT

Tourism – Provision of infrastructure facilities at Tourist Spots laying of approach roads to Arulmighu Rathinagreeswarar temple Karur District at an estimated cost of Rs.32.40 lakhs (Rupees Thirtytwo lakhs forty thousand only) Administrative approval for Rs.16.20 lakhs (Rupees Sixteen lakhs and twenty thousand only) from the Member of Legislative Assembly Constituency Development Fund and sanction of Rs.16.20 lakhs (Rupees Sixteen lakhs and twenty thousand only) from Tourism Fund as its share – orders – issued.

ORDER:-

The Commissioner of Tourism has forwarded and recommended the proposal of the Collector, Karur District for the provision of the following infrastructure facilities at Tourist spots, Karur District laying of approach roads to Arulmighu Rathinagreeswarar temple.

He has also stated that the Collector of Karur has assured that 50% of the total cost will be met from the Member of Legislative Assembly Constituency Development Fund.The assets created would be maintained by the Kullithalai Panchayat Union. Therefore he has requested the Government to sanction of Rs.16.20 lakhs (Rupees Sixteen lakhs and twenty thousand only) being the 50% share of the Project cost from Tourism Department as its share and per permit the Collector, Karur District to met the balance Rs.16.20 lakhs (Rupees Sixteen lakhs and twenty thousand only) from the member of Legislative Assembly Constituency Development Fund

2. The Government after careful examination, accept the proposal of the Commissioner of Tourism and approve the total estimate of Rs.32.40 lakhs (Rupees Thirtytwo lakhs forty thousand only) for the provision of infrastructure facilities mentioned in para 1 above at Karur and sanction a sum of Rs.16.20 lakhs (Rupees Sixteen lakhs and twenty thousand only) from Tourism Department as its share and permit the Collector, Karur District to meet the balance of Rs.16.20 lakhs (Rupees Sixteen lakhs and twenty thousand only) from the member of Legislative Assembly Constituency Development Fund. The Executing Agency shall be the Collector Karur District. The assets created with this fund would be maintained by the Kulithalai Panchayat Union.

3. The Commissioner of Tourism is authorized to draw and disburse the amount of Rs.16.20 lakhs (Rupees Sixteen lakhs and twenty thousand only) sanctioned in para 2 above to the Collector, Karur District.

4. The amount sanctioned in para 2 shall be debited to the following head of account.

“5452 – Capital Outlay on Tourism -01 – Tourist infrastructure-101- Tourist Centre- Schemes in the Tenth Five Year Plan-II State Plan– KV improvement of Basic facilities in Tourist Centres -09 – Grants-in-Aid-03 – Grants for Specific Schemes”

5. The Commissioner of Tourism is requested to watch the progress of the works and send periodical report to Government. The Commissioner of Tourism is also requested to get the report on Progress of works periodically and Utilisation Certificate from the concerned authorities and send it to Government.

6. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No. Finance (I&T)74899//05,dated 25.10.05.
