ORDER:

The Commissioner of Tourism has sent a proposal to Government to sanction a sum of Rs.25.00 lakhs for preparation of Master Plans for Special Tourism Circuits and destination during 2003-2004.

2) After careful examination, the Government accept the proposal of the Commissioner of Tourism. Accordingly, they direct that a sum of Rs.25.00 lakhs (Rupees Twenty five lakhs only) be sanctioned for the preparation of Master Plans for the following Special Tourism Circuits and destinations during 2003-2004.

Tourism Circuits

a) Chidambaram-Gangaikondacholapuram- Dharasuram-Kumbakonam-Thanjavur-Muthupet-Tiruchirappalli.

b) Arupadai Veedu

Thiruttani-Swamimalai-Palani-Pazhamuthircholai-Thiruparankundram-Thiruchendur.

c) Pilgrimage Circuit around Chennai City:

Thiruvidanthai-Thirumalaivaiyavur-Vallakottai-Sriperumbudur-Thirunindravur-Thirumullaivasal-Melur-Koyambedu

d) Tourist Destinations:

Thanjavur, Tiruchirappalli, Elagiri, Kollimalai, Pudukottai, Avudayarkoil, Karaikudi and Chettinadu

3) The amount sanctioned in para 2 above shall be debited to "3452 Tourism 01 Tourist Infrstructure-101 Tourist Centre schemes in the Tenth Five year Plan II State plan JH preparation of master Plan for Tourist Destination/Circuits 33 payments for professional and special services 09 other payments (DPC 3452-01 101 JH 3392)".

4) The Government also direct the Commissioner of Tourism to draw and disburse the amount sanctioned in para 2 above to the Agency sponsored for this work.

5) This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.o.No.41976/Finance/CF&CP/ 2003 dated 03-10-2003.
