Letter No.20778 / T1 / 2002 Information and Tourism Dept., dated 3-9-2002 4) From the Government of India, Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Directorate of Tourism, New Delhi Lr.No.5PSW / 200 / 9 dated 24-12-2002 5) From the Commissioner of Tourism, Chennai-2, D.O.Lr.No.572 / P&D1 / 99 dated 17-3-2000 ORDER: In the reference first read above, the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India have sanctioned the scheme of Provision of Public Convenience near Varadharaja Perumal Temple at Kancheepuram at a cost of Rs.16.00 lakhs (Rupees Sixteen lakhs only) (Government of India’s share Rs.12.00 lakhs + State share Rs.4.00 lakhs + Municipality fund) and had released a sum of Rs.3.60 lakhs (Rupees Three lakhs and sixty thousand only) as the first instalment of Central share to execute the work. 2) In the Government order second read above as amended in the letter 3rd read above the Government have approved the scheme of Provision of Public Convenience near Varadharajaperumal Temple near Kancheepuram with the usual terms and conditions issued by the Government of India. 3) In the reference 4th read above the Government of India have released a sum of Rs.6.00 lakhs (Rupees Six lakhs only) as 2nd instalment towards this project out of Rs.12.00 lakhs. The Commissioner of Tourism Chennai-2 has requested to sanction the above amount so as to draw and disburse it to the Commissioner of Kancheepuram Municipality, Kancheepuram. 4) Government after careful Consideration sanction the release of 2nd instalment of Rs.6.00 lakhs (Rupees Six lakhs only) to the Commissioner of Tourism, Chennai-2 for the above project with the usual terms and conditions issued by the Government of India, New Delhi. 5) The Commissioner of Tourism, Chennai-2 is authorised to draw and disburse the amount to the Commissioner of Kancheepuram Municipality, Kancheepuram under proper acknowledgement. 7) The Amount sanctioned in para 4 above shall be debited to: ”3452 Tourism 01 Tourist Infrastructure 101 Tourist Centre VI schemes between State and Centre UM providing basic amenities in Tourist Centre 09 Grants in aid 03 Grants for specific schemes (3452 01 101 UM 0938)". 8) The Commissioner of Tourism, Chennai-2 is requested to furnish the quarterly progress report in triplicate for onward transmission to Government of India. 9) This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide its U.O.No.38000/Information and Tourism/2003 Dated :20-06-2003.
