Tourism - Part II schemes for 2003-2004 - a sum of Rs.50.00 lakhs sanctioned for upgrading infrastructural facilities at Navagraha Circuits Covering Suriyanar Koil,Thingalur Koil, Vaitheeswaran Koil, Thiruvenkadu, Alangudi, Kanchanoor, Keezhaperumpallam, Thirunageswaram and Thirunallar etc. orders issued.

The Commissioner of Tourism has sent a proposal to Government for the Development of Navagraha Sannidhi Tourist Circuits includes SuriyanarKoil, Thingalur Koil, Vaitheeswaran Koil, Thiruvenkadu, Alangudi, Kanchanoor, Keezhaperumpallam, Thirunageswaram and Thirunallar. The Commissioner of Tourism has requested for sanction of Rs.150 lakhs for upgrading infrastructural facilities at these pilgirimage centres except at Thirunallar Under Part II Schemes 2003-2004.

2) After careful examination the Government accept the proposals of the Commissioner of Tourism and a sum of Rs.50.00 lakhs (Rupees Fifty lakhs only) is sanctioned for Development of Navagraha Sannidhi Tourist Circuits includes Suriyanar Koil, Thingalur Koil, Vaitheeswaran Koil, Thiruvenkadu, Alangudi, Kanchanoor, Keezhaperumpallam, Thirunageswaram and Thirunallar and upgrading infrastructural facilities at these pilgirim centres except Thirunallar (Pondicherry State) such as Parking lot, Approach roads, Toilets, Rest sheds etc Under Part II schemes 2003-2004.

3) The amount sanctioned in para 2 abovle shall be debited to "3452 Tourism 01 Tourist Infrastructure -101 Tourist Centre - schemes in the Tenth Five Year Plan II State Plan JA Providing bsic Amenities 09 Grants-in-Aid 03 Grants for Specific Schemes (DPC 3452 01 101 JA 0933)" .

4) The Government also authorize the Commissioner of Tourism to draw and disburse the amount to the Executive Agency to be implemented for the project.

5) This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.31440/Finance (Information and Tourism) / 2003-1 dated 23-5-2003
