No.175 Read: From the Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board, Letter No.M1/18856/2004, dated 09.10.2004 ORDER : The Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board has submitted proposals under Part-II Schemes for the year 2005-2006 for the implementation of scheme, “Poverty alleviation and capacity building through Employment Training Programe for 500 slum youth / SHG members during the year, 2005-2006 in Cosmetology, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Catering, Refrigeration, Computing, Desk Top Publishing and Car Driving and other vocational training courses at a total cost of Rs.25.00 lakhs. 2. The Government after careful consideration accept the proposal of the Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board for the implementation of the scheme viz. “Poverty alleviation and capacity building through Employment and Training for 500 slum youth / SHG members in Chennai and other towns. Sanction is, therefore, accorded for a sum of Rs.25.00 lakhs (Rupees Twenty Five lakhs only) for the implementation of the above scheme during the year, 2005-2006. 3. The expenditure sanctioned in para 2 above shall be debited to the following head of account:- “2217. Urban Development – 04.Slum Area Improvement – 190.Assistance to Public Sector and Other Undertakings Schemes in the Tenth Five Year Plan-II. State Plan-JK. Assistance to Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board towards Poverty Alleviation and capacity building through Employment Training Programme for Slum Youth in Chennai and other Towns – 09 - Grants -in-Aid - 01.Grants for current expenditure (D.P.Code 2217 04 190 JK 0912) 4. The Commissioner of Treasuries and Accounts, Chennai, who is the functional Head of Department in respect of loans / Grants to Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board is authorised to draw the amount sanctioned in para 2 above. The amount shall not be paid in cash but will be kept in State Bank of India, Thousand Light Branch, Chennai, Personal Deposit Account of the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board by contra credit to “K.Deposits and Advances (b) Deposits not bearing interest under“ 8443. Civil Deposits – 800.Other Deposits – AE.Deposits of Government Companies / Corporations, etc. 54 – Deposits of Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board “ (D.P.Code 8443 800 AE 5401) (Receipts)” The amount shall be drawn from the deposit account. 5. The Commissioner of Treasuries and Accounts, Chennai is requested to present an adjustment bill to the Pay and Accounts Officer(S), Chennai. He is also requested to intimate the date of adjustment of the amount to the Government in due course. 6. The Chairman, Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board, is requested to send the expenditure statement and utilisation certificates in due course. 7. This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide its U.O. No.26512/Hg/05, dated 13.05.2005 (By Order of the Governor) LAL
