From the Registrar General, High Court, Chennai Letter Roc.No. 1828/A/2000/G1, Dated: 31.1.01, 19.4.05 and 14.2.07 &&&& ORDER: The Government of India have requested the Government of Tamil Nadu to constitute a Special Court at Chennai for speedy trial of CBI cases relating to various banks and financial institutions. The request of the Government of India was examined in consultation with the Registrar General, High Court, Madras. The Registrar General, High Court has stated that sanction of one additional court for exclusive trial of CBI Cases relating to Banks and Financial Institutions is absolutely necessary. The Registrar General, High Court has, therefore, sent a comprehensive proposal to the Government requesting to sanction the required staff and other infrastructure facilities for the proposed court. 2. The Government have carefully examined the proposal and decided to accept the constitution of a Special Court at Chennai for trial of CBI cases relating to various Banks and Financial Institutions. On the basis that the actual expenditure will be reimbursed by Government of India. 3. The Government also sanction the creation of the following temporary staff for a period of one year from the date of appointment or till the need therefor ceases whichever is earlier for the Special Court sanctioned in para 2 above.
4. The holders of the posts indicated in para 3 above will be eligible to draw besides Pay, DA and other allowances at the rates admissible to them under the orders and rules in force from time to time. 5. 6. The Director of Stationery and Printing, Chennai is requested to make free supply of 7 typewriters i.e. 3 with English keyboard and 4 with tamil keyboard. He is also requested to make free supply of statinery articles and forms etc., to the proposed Court. 7. The expenditure sanctioned in para 5 above shall be debited to the following head of Account:- 2014 00 Administration of Justice 103 Special Courts I Non-Plan AA Establishment of Special Courts for exclusive trial of Central Bureau of Investigation Cases
Vehicle will be covered by warranty period and free service for certain period. 8.The expenditure sanctioned in para 5 above shall constitute an item of "New Service", for which approval of Legislature will be obtained in due course. Pending approval of the Legislature, the expenditure will be met by drawal of an advance from the contingency fund. The Finance (BG.I) Department will issue necessary orders in this regard separately. The Registrar (Admn.), High Court of Madras, is requested to apply for contingency fund advance in the prescribed format to Finance (BG.I) Department along with copies of this order. He is also requested to send necessary explanatory notes to include the above expenditure in the supplementary Estimates for the year 2007-2008 to Finance Department at the appropriate time without fail. 9. The Registrar General, High Court, Chennai is requested to send necessary draft notification for publication in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette. 10.
