No . 19/2007 Con B 2, dated 20.6.2007. ********* O R D E R :- In the Government Order second read above, Orders were issued for the constitution of a Sub- Court at Valliyoor by shifting the II Additional Sub-Court then existed at Tirunelveli and necessary Notifications were issued in the Government Order third read above. The Registrar General, High Court of Madras in her letter 3rd read above, has stated that a Sub-Court was constituted at Valliyoor by shifting the then II Additional Sub-Court. Tirunelveli and the said Court has been functioning with effect from 19.3.07 A.N. Since the said newly constituted Sub-Court, Valliyoor has been functioning from 19.3.07 A.N., the said Court has to be constituted as “Motor Accident Claims Tribunal” to try Motor Accident Claims Tribunal OP cases for the area of Valliyoor as per sub-section (1) of section 165 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988) and the Sub Judge, Valliyoor has to be appointed as Member of the said Motor Accident Claims Tribunal as per sub – section (2) of section 165 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988). 2. The Registrar General, High Court of Madras has therefore requested the orders of the Government for constituting the Sub Court, Valliyoor as Motor Accident Claims Tribunal for the area of Valliyoor and appointing the Sub Judge, Valliyoor as Member of the said Tribunal to try Motor Accident Claims Tribunal OP cases by issuing necessary amendments to the earlier Notifications issued with the Government Order first read above. 3. The Government have examined the proposal of the Registrar General, High Court of Madras and decided to accept the same. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 165 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, (Central Act 59 of 1988), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Home Department Notification No. II(2)/HO/884/2003, dated the 5th December 2003 published at pages 520 to 523 of Part II - Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated the 31st December 2003. AMENDMENT. In the said Notification, in the TABLE, under the heading “22 Tirunelveli District”,- (1) against the entry “(i) Tirunelveli” in column (1),the entry “II Additional Sub-Court, Tirunelveli” in column (2), shall be omitted; and (2) after the entry (iv) “Sankarankoil” in column (1) and the corresponding entry in column (2), the following entries in columns (1) and (2) shall be added, namely:- “(v) Valliyoor Sub-Court, Valliyoor”. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 165 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Home Department Notification No. II(2)/HO/885/2003, dated the 5th December 2003, published at pages 523 to 527 of Part II- Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated the 31st December 2003. 2. The amendment hereby made shall come into force with effect on and from the date on which the Sub-Judge, Valliyoor assumes charge of that Court. AMENDMENT. In the said Notification, in the “TABLE” under the heading, “22. Tirunelveli District”,- (1) the entry “(VII) II Additional Sub-Judge, Tirunelveli” in column (1) and the corresponding entry in column(2) shall be omitted; and (2) after the entry (xi) Sub Judge, “Sankarankoil” in column (1) and the corresponding entry in column (2), the following entries in columns (1) and (2) shall be added, namely:- “(xii) Sub-Judge, Valliyoor”.
