Abstract Courts Special Courts Constitution of Special Court under Tamil Nadu Protection of Interests of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 1997 at Madurai and Coimbatore Orders Issued. HOME (COURTS.II) DEPARTMENT G.O.
(Ms.) No.1018 Read:- 1. From the Inspector General of Police, Economic Offences Wing (Non-banking Financial Institutions) letter Nil, dated: 18.1.2000 2. From the Registrar General, High Court, Chennai, Letter Roc.No. 1979/A/2001/G1, Dated: 23.12.2004. **** ORDER: The Minister (P.W. and Law) while moving Demand No.3 on the Floor of the Assembly on 13.4.2007, as announced that two Special Courts under TNPID Act, would be constituted one each at Madurai and Coimbatore. 2. The proposal of the Registrar General, High Court, Chennai for constitution of two Special Courts under TNPID Act, one each at Madurai and Coimbatore has been examined by the Government and they have decided to accept the same. 3. They accordingly sanction the constitution of two Special Courts under TNPID Act, one each at Madurai and Coimbatore and also the following staff to each of the Special Court at TNPID Act Madurai and Coimbatore. 4. The Government further sanction the following recurring and non-recurring expenditure to each of the Special Court under TNPID Act at Madurai and Coimbatore. RECURRING EXPENDITURE FOR MADURAI TNPID COURT

6. The holders of the posts indicated above will be eligible to draw besides Pay, DA and other allowances at the rates admissible to them under the orders and rules in force from time to time. 7. The Director of Stationery and Printing is requested to make free supply of 4 Tamil typewriters and 4 English Typewriters for the use of the one steno typist, 1 typist and two copyists of the Special Court at Madurai. He is also requested 4 typewriters with Tamil key board and 4 typewriters with English keyboard for the use of one typist, one steno-typist and 2 copyists for the Special Court at Coimbatore. He is also requested to make free supply of stationery articles, forms and registers to the proposed Court at Madurai and Coimbatore. 8. The Government also direct that the rent for the Special Court at Madurai shall be fixed by the Public Works Department by following due procedures. . The Government also direct that the Special Court at Coimbatore shall be accommodated in the combined Court Building occupied by the Family Court, Coimbatore. 9. The Government also direct that these Special Courts will stand disbanded as and when the pending cases, under investigation and trial get completed. 10. The expenditure sanctioned para 4 and 5 shall be debited to the Head of Account:- "2014.00.Administration of Justice.105. The expenditure sanctioned above shall be constituted an item of "New Service" for which approval of the Legislature will be obtained in due course. Pending approval of the Legislature, this expenditure will be met by drawal of an advance from the Contingency Fund. The Registrar General, High Court, Madras is authorized to draw and disburse the amount sanctioned. The Finance (B.G.I) Department will issue necessary orders separately. The Registrar General, High Court, Madras is requested to apply for Contingency Fund Advance in the prescribed format for the required amount to Finance (B.G.I) Department along with copies of this order. He is also requested to send necessary explanatory notes to include the above expenditure in the supplementary Estimate for 2007-2008 at the appropriate time without fail. 12.
