The Government in the G.O. first read above have fixed the rates for the sale of Tender Documents for various works depending upon the cost of the works. In the  letter second read  above. the Chief Engineer (General), Highways Department has  stated that during the last 12 years, the cost of stationery, printing and other incidental charges have gone up considerably. So the rates  require revision in tune with the present cost escalation and services rendered by the Department.  The  Government, in G.O. Ms. No.538, Public Works (G2) Department, Dated 1-10-2004 have issued orders revising the sale price of Tender Documents in the Public Works Department. The Chief Engineer (General), Highways has therefore requested that the cost of the tender schedule may be revised and fixed for the Highways works also in tune with the rates fixed in Public Works Department. 

2. The Government have examined the proposal of the Chief Engineer  (General) Highways  and have decided to  revise the cost of tender schedule in Highways Department.  Accordingly, the Government revise the sale price of tender schedule  in Highways Department as in column-4 of  the following table.
