ORDER:

In the Budget Estimate for 2006-07, the Government have made a provision of

Rs. 50.40 crores for improvements of Other District Roads under CRIDP   (Special. Component Plan) for the benefit of Scheduled Caste habitations. The Chief Engineer (General) has accordingly submitted proposal for improvements of 997.907 Kms of Other District Roads and 26 bridges passing through the habitations where more than 50% of the population belongs to Scheduled Caste Community at a cost of Rs.125.98 crores by adopting adequate bank of sanction at 2.5 times of budget allocation.

2. The Government have examined the proposals of the Chief Engineer (General) Highways  and decided to approve the proposals.  Accordingly, they accord Administrative Sanction   for   improvement   of   the 293 Other District Roads covering a length of 997.907 Kms and 26 bridges at a total cost of Rs. 125.9775   crores (Rupees One hundred and twenty five crores ninety seven  lakhs and seventy five thousands only ) under the CRIDP (Special Component Plan) for Scheduled Castes Community habitations for the year 2006-07. The details of the works are given in  annexure  to this order.

3. The expenditure sanctioned in para 2 above shall be debited to the following head of account:-

5054-Capital Outlay on Roads and Bridges-04-District and Other Roads-789-Special Component Plan for Scheduled Castes-Schemes in the Tenth Five Year Plan-II State Plan--JC-Comprehensive Road Development Programme-Other District Roads under Special Component Plan-16-Major Works

4. The Chief Engineer (General) is directed to take up the works early and furnish monthly progress report to Government. He is also requested to ensure that the works sanctioned now are not included in any other schemes.

5. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O. No.258/SS (KPR)  dated 20.11.2006.
