ORDER;

In his letter first read above, the Chief Engineer(NABARD) has sent proposals for Construction/Reconstruction of 122 bridges and 40 roads in Other District Roads covering Cauvery Delta Districts and Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari and Theni Districts at a cost of Rs.79.4854 crores for loan assistance under RIDF VII of NABARD.

2.In the light of the sanction accorded by the NABARD in the letter second read above and after examination the Government accept the proposal of the Chief Engineer (NABARD)and accord administrative sanction for the Construction/Reconstruction of 122 bridges (including Cauvery Delta Bridges 94 Bridges) and 40 roads and mentioned in the Annexure to this order in the category of Other District Roads covering Cauvery Delta Districts, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari and Theni Districts at a cost of Rs.79.4855 crores (Rupees Seventy nine crores forty eight lakhs and fifty five thousands only) with the loan assistancefrom NABARD under RIDF VII (Project-34) Rural Roads and Bridges Project.

3. The total outlay of Rs.79.4855 crores will consist of 90% NABARD loan at Rs.71.5372 crores (Rupees seventy one crores fifty three lakhs and seventy two thousands only) and 10% as Government share at Rs.7.9483 crores(Rupees seven crores ninety four lakhs and eighty three thousand only)

4. The expenditure sanctioned in para 2 above shall be debited the following heads of account:-

5054 Capital Outlay on roads and bridges 04. District and other roads 337. Road work schemes in the Ninth Five Year Plan II State Plan JK - Improvements to Districts and Other Roads with loan assistance from NABARD. 16. Major works (DPC 5054-04-337-JK-1607)./

5. The Chief Engineer (NABARD), Chennai is requested to execute the works sanctioned in para 2 above utilising the provisions made by NABARD and the Government as their shares in full and complete the Road and bridge works within the time limit prescribed by NABARD.

6. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.168/SS/(LK)/02, dated 26.3.2002.
