From the country Director, World Bank, letter dated 22.4.2002 ---- ORDER: In the order third read above Government have approved the policy frame work required for early project appraisal and effective implementation of Tamil Nadu Road Sector Project . Government have also directed therein to issue separate orders on relevant sections of the policy frame work which require endorsement at Government level . Giving Special Status to Project Director, Tamil Nadu Road Sector Project is one among the other items. As, many issues during project preparation and implementation required immediate guidance and approval of Government of Tamil Nadu beyond the powers of the project authority, the Government direct that Tamil Nadu Road Sector Project be given Special Status with regard to opening of Letter of Credit, Travels and Training of the Project staff including its Project Director within India with prior intimation to the Government and to incur expenditure on entertaining the visitors to the Project. 2.
