ORDER:

The Chief Engineer (General), Highways and Rural Works Department, has submitted proposals for sanction of expenditure towards Other District Roads under " Roads and Bridges " for consideration as Part II  Scheme for the year 2001-2002.

2. The  proposals of the Chief Engineer (General), Highways and Rural Works have been examined by the Government in detail.  The Government consider that the works indicated in the annexure to this order  shall be taken up  as part II Scheme for the year 2001-2002 and accordingly they sanction Rs.73.00 lakhs (Rupees  Seventy Three lakhs only) for Other District Roads limiting the expenditure to Rs.36.50 lakhs (Rupees Thirty Six lakhs and fifty thousands  only) for the year 2001-2002.  The list of works approved by the Government mentioned above and  their ultimate cost and provision in 2001-2002 are given in the annexure to this order.

3.  The expenditure sanctioned in paragraph 2 above shall be debited to:

" 5054 - Capital outlay on Roads and Bridges - 04  District and Other Roads-800  Other Expenditure-   - Schemes in the Ninth Five Year Plan -II State plan - JC   District and Other  Roads-16 Major works (D.P.Code No.5054-04-800-JC-1600)."

4. The Chief Engineer are requested to restrict the expenditure strictly within the amount sanctioned in paragraph 2 above and within the Budget Estimate 2001-2002 for the above schemes.  Additional amount over and above the Budget Estimate will be provided in subsequent year Budgets.  The Chief  Engineers are requested to take into account the above expenditure while sending Budget proposals to Finance Department.

5. The Chief Engineer are directed to submit a detailed plans and estimate for the works for approval of the Government immediately whenever necessary.

6. The order issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide its U.O.No.64235/PW1/2001-1, dated 11-9-2001.
