GOVERNMENT OF TAMIL NADU ABSTRACT Highways Department - NABARD - Construction of 65 bridges IN 25 Districts with loan assistance from NABARD under RIDF VI (Additional) (Project -29) - Sanctioned - Orders - Issued. Highways (HW.1) Department G.O.Ms.No.149 Read: (1) From the Chief Engineer (H), NABARD, Letter No.4920/99/A3, dated 8.1.2001 and 8.3.2001. (2) From Deputy General Manager, NABARD, Chennai, Lr.No.NB / SPD / 2354 / RIDF-VI (TN) 43PSC / 2000-2001, dated 23.3.2001. (3) From the Chief Engineer (H), NABARD, Letter No.492 / 99-D3, dated 31.3.2001. ----- ORDER; In his letter first read above, the Chief Engineer(NABARD) has sent proposals for Construction of 64 bridges in Other District Roads covering 25 Districts at a cost of Rs.48.60 crores for loan assistance under RIDF VI of NABARD. 2.Subsequently one more bridge at Ramanathapuram District at a coslt of Rs.42 lakhs has been added and NABARD given concurrence. In the light of the sanction accorded by NABARD in their letter second read above and after careful examination the Government accept the proposal of the Chief Engineer (NABARD)and accord administrative sanction for the Construction of 65 bridges as mentioned in the Annexure to this order in Other District Roads covering 25 Districts at a cost of Rs.52.66 crores (Rupees fifty two crores and sixty six lakhs only) with the loan assistance from NABARD under RIDF VI (Additional ) (Project-29). 3. The total plan outlay of Rs.52.66 crores will consist of 90% NABARD loan at Rs.47.3940 crores (Rupees Forty seven crores thirty nine lakhs and forty thousand only) and 10% as Government share at Rs.5.2660 crores (Rupees five crores twenty six lakhs and sixty thousand only) 4. The expenditure sanctioned in para 2 above is an item of "New Service". The approval of Legislature will be obtained in due course. However, Chief Engineer (Highways), NABARD is requested to send a draft explanatory note indicating the total cost, the cost that would be required, for implementation during the financial year, etc.. to Government in Finance (BG I) Department, for inclusion in the first supplementary Estimates for bringing to the notice of Legislature in due course. 5. The expenditure sanctioned at para 2 above shall be debited to the following head of account:- 5054 Capital Outlay on roads and bridges 04. District and other roads 337. Road work schemes in the Ninth Five Year Plan II State Plan JK - Improvements to Districts and Other Roads with loan assistance from NABARD. 16. Major works (DPC 5054-04-337-JK-1607)./ 6.
