Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund – Enhancement of Financial assistance for life-saving surgeries – Orders Issued.

ORDER:

In the Government order fourth read above, among other things, orders were issued towards, sanction of financial assistance from Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund to the indigent public seeking assistance to undergo the following life-saving surgeries in the Hospitals recognised under this scheme:

1. Open Heart Surgery -- Rs.15,000/-

2. Open Heart Surgery Valve Replacement- Rs.20,000/-

3. Surgery for Kidney Transplantation - Rs.20,000/

2. Taking into account the considerable expenditure incurred on such surgeries, the Government have decided to enhance the quantum of assistance given under Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund to the life saving surgeries mentioned in para 1 above. Accordingly, the Government direct that the quantum of financial assistance hitherto given from Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund for Open Heart surgeries and Kidney Transplantation be enhanced from Rs.15,000/- (Rupees fifteen thousand only) or Rs.20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand only) as the case may be to Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) to the persons below the poverty line.

3. This order shall take effect from 5.3.1997.

4. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.1134/FS/P/97 dated 10.3.1997.
